Common questions
- What is Skadooble?
- You add your own course material, Skadooble generates practice questions from it, and then quizzes you — per unit, or as a consolidated final across a whole course.
- How do I get started?
- Create a course, add a unit, paste or upload your notes into that unit’s Material tab, then hit Generate quiz bank. Once questions exist you can take a quiz from the Quiz tab.
- What is the Active Recall extension?
- An optional Chrome extension that nudges you now and then with one random multiple-choice question drawn from all of your courses. Answering little and often is far better for memory than one long cram session — that’s the whole idea.
- How do I connect the extension?
- Open the extension, click Connect to Skadooble, and approve it on the page that opens. You need to be signed in. To unlink it, open the extension’s Settings and click Disconnect.
- The extension says there are no questions to recall.
- It only draws from multiple-choice questions already in your banks. Generate a quiz bank in at least one unit and it’ll start quizzing you.
- How often does it interrupt me, and can I change that?
- By default it picks a random moment every 2–5 hours, and only between 9:00 and 21:00 your local time. All of that — including turning reminders off entirely — is adjustable in the extension’s Settings.
- I'm not getting notifications.
- Check that reminders are enabled in the extension’s Settings, that the current time is inside your active-hours window, and that Chrome itself is allowed to show notifications in your operating system’s notification settings.
- Can I use Skadooble without an account?
- Yes, as a guest — but your courses live only in that browser, and clearing your browser data deletes them. Sign in to keep them across devices. The extension requires an account.
- How do I delete my data?
- Deleting a unit removes its material, question bank, and quiz history; deleting a course removes everything in it. Both are immediate and permanent. To delete your whole account and everything attached to it, use Account → Delete account. See the privacy policy for what’s stored and why.
- What do I get with Pro?
- Consolidated finals across a whole course, uploads for PDF, PowerPoint and Word (including scanning documents that have no selectable text), the relevance map, unlimited courses, and a higher daily limit on AI actions. Quizzes, the question bank, mastery tracking, review sessions, streaks and the extension are free for everyone.
- How do I cancel?
- Account → Manage subscription, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then go back to the free tier. Nothing you made is deleted.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes — if Pro isn’t for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full, no reason needed. After that, cancelling stops future renewals but doesn’t refund the current period. Double charged, or something broke on our end? Tell us and we’ll fix it. Full detail in the terms.
- A question or answer looks wrong.
- It happens — questions are AI-generated, and although a second model audits the answer keys, it doesn’t catch everything. You can edit or delete any question from the Bank tab. Where Skadooble disagrees with your course material or your instructor, trust them, not us. Please do report bad ones.
